Groovetech EP 7 – CTRL ROOM – Best of 2016

Hello boys and girls. It was a great pleasure to be back on the decks at CTRL ROOM for episode 7 of the Groovetech monthly Out of Control Session, played live out of Toronto Ontario on the second Tuesday of the month.

I’m a little early this year with my end of year blog. At the start of 2016 I made a bold statement stating that 2016 would be the resurgence of the more pure form of Techno. From where I stand, 2016 has been a phenomenal year for quality music. In the past I’ve been getting frustrated there wasn’t enough club nights to allow me to express myself fully, but I had one of my best years in my career. There is certainly change in the air.

Special thanks must go out to the folks at CTRL ROOM for giving me a platform to share my music with you. So for me 2017 is looking to be a very exciting year. Music wise, I played my best tracks of 2016, all on vinyl.

The next show goes live from 8pm – 11pm on the 17th of January 2017 via www.ctrlroom.ca and will be archived on Youtube and Chew TV after that. For more Techno DJ Sets, follow me on mixcloud.

Be a Guest on the Show

If you play underground music, I want to hear from you. Send me a message including a link to your mixcloud or soundcloud and thoughts about your music convictions and if things work out I would be privileged to have you on the show in the future. Consider this: it’s all about the heart and soul so what I want to hear is to a mix that you really feel and like, not just something to get more fans or gigs. It’s not about you – its about the music.

Playing Techno and House, Andreas has been a professional DJ since 1998, playing sets in four countries. He is also a podcasting pioneer, with live audio and video mixes stretching as far back as the last millennium. Despite the progress of technology, Andreas still collects and spins 100% of music on Vinyl as he believes that “putting a laptop between a DJ and the crowd seems boring”.
