Hello boys and girls. It was a great pleasure to be back on the decks at CTRL ROOM for episode 6 of the Groovetech monthly Out of Control Session, played live out of Toronto Ontario on the second Tuesday of the month.
With the US Election behind us, I must confess my relief of the outcome. Not that the brash businessman was my candidate of choice; elections are always about the party of least objection, but nonetheless I think America and much of the free thinking world breathed a sigh of relief.
Music wise, you are in for a sonic treat this month blending hard grooves with funky undertones. Forgoing the easy route of anthem-led tunes, we get a good dose of Techno remarkably outside the mainstream. In these 3 odd hours, you will hear tracks by Oscal Mulero, Mall Grab, Randomer, Emmanuel, Floorplan, Dolby D, Ben Sims among plenty of others. People talk about mixes as DJ business cards. Consider this the business card for what proper, genuine Techno Music sounds like.
Like What You Hear? Help me Out!
It takes a lot of time and effort to put these shows together for you. Now its your turn to help me out. After all tis the season to be giving. I am raising money now til the end of the year, hopefully to replace my needles and cartridges. My goal is 500 dollars, all of which shall be spent on 3 brand new Ortofon CC Elektro Cartridges. Any little amount you can donate towards this goal counts. After all, meeting this fundraising goal will be good for both of us. You get better sounding shows right?
You can make a donation here: https://www.paypal.me/AndreasMarouchos. It really makes a big difference.

Be a Guest on the Show
If you play underground music, I want to hear from you. Send me a message including a link to your mixcloud or soundcloud and thoughts about your music convictions and if things work out I would be privileged to have you on the show in the future. Consider this: it’s all about the heart and soul so what I want to hear is to a mix that you really feel and like, not just something to get more fans or gigs. It’s not about you – its about the music.
Andreas Marouchos (Short, Rouchos), is a DJ from Toronto. Playing Techno and House, Andreas has been a professional DJ since 1998, playing sets in four countries. He is also a podcasting pioneer, with live audio and video mixes stretching as far back as the last millennium. Despite the progress of technology, Andreas still collects and spins 100% of music on Vinyl as he believes that “putting a laptop between a DJ and the crowd seems boring”.
